Charity: DIY

Sisu Children’s Fund is the only organization in the state families can turn to when they need financial help to buy medical services or equipment.

Although Sisu can help all children within Washington state, it is difficult for our organization to reach everywhere with information and donations. But every city in our state has children who need medical services, and parents who can not afford to pay for them.

If you are interested in starting an organization in your area,  we will be more than happy to give you information about setting up  a fund similar to Sisu’s. Sisu is able to give directly to families, unlike a foundation, where donations are tied to an organization, not the people within it.

For more information contact Barbara Sanchez  at sisuchildrensfund@gmail.com or 360-671-8766. Barbara is willing to come to your city to speak with a group to help generate interest.

The Sisu Children’s Fund is committed to supporting young adults with medical and/or physical disabilities by providing resources that promote independence and skill development. As part of our mission, we are pleased to offer scholarships to graduating seniors who are planning to continue their education and pursue vocational training.

We offer the following scholarship opportunities:

  • $1,000 educational scholarship for students enrolling in any college, university, or trade school.
  • $2,500 scholarship specifically for students attending Bellingham Technical College.

These scholarships are designed to help young adults gain the education and skills needed to succeed in their chosen careers.

The deadline for submission is March 31, 2025.

Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to receiving your application!
